New OATI board

At the 11th Annual meeting of the Ontario Agricultural Training Institute (OATI) held June 27 in Woodstock the Board of 15 members was named for 2000/2001. The board in its first meeting re-elected Elaine Ball of Port Elgin as Chair, Bob Zettler as Finance Director, and Corry Martens as Executive member. New to the Executive Committee are Neil Dolson, Vice Chair and Jim Anstice, Executive Member. OATI is a farmer driven rural organization dedicated to continuing education to strengthen rural communities by providing accessible learning and development opportunities. The Board represent all rural stakeholders.

The members of the Board include: Jim Anstice, Nominated by Ontario Federation of Agriculture; Elaine Ball, Ontario Farm Women’s Network; Bob Burley, Ontario Pork; Neil Dolson, Ontario Institute of Agrologists; Ed Molzan, Farmers Union; Bette Jean Crews, Ontario Apple Marketing Commission; Clarence Haverson, OMAFRA; Andre Pommainville, L’Union des Cultivateurs Franco-Ontariens; Trudi Wiley, Ontario Canola Growers; Corry Martens, OFA; Jim Morton, CFFO; John Van Turnhout, Ontario Soybean Growers; Jerry Vandevelde, Ontario Flue-Cured Tobacco Growers’ Marketing Board; Bob Zettler, Canadian Bankers’ Association;Al Kerslake, Ontario Agri Business Association; Elwin Vince, Past Chairman, Ontario Soybean Growers’ Association
