Jersey tour to Costa Rica

The last call to register for the Jersey Canada AGM and Atlantic farm tour in April passed on Feb. 27, but the World Jersey Cattle Bureau tour is coming up June 10-25, with one-week or two-week options. The tour is billed "Visit Costa Rica and see some nice cows," and it promises to be an interesting change of locale for Jersey breeders.

Costa Rica is one of the three countries in Latin America which are self-sufficient in milk production, with a long tradition of breeding Jersey cows in different climate conditions. More purebred Jerseys are registered there than all other breeds combined. Costa Rica boasts beautiful nature, friendly people, a long peace, and is the longest established democracy in Latin America. The tour will visit some of the country's best herds and farms.
