Free Stall Housing and Design Seminar

Jack Rodenburg and Harold House have planned a Free Stall Design Seminar for February 25 and 26 2003 in the Alexandria area. The two day course includes presentations on the latest design options and equipment for free stall barns. Topics include Why Expand Why Free Stalls, Farmstead Planning, Layout Options and Housing Alternatives, Building Environment and Ventilation, Treatment and Maternity Facilities, Manure Collection, Handling and Storage, Handling Feed and Water, Free Stall Design, Cow Traffic, Cow Comfort, Choosing a Milking Parlour, Milking Centre Design.

The course will also include an optional evening tour on February 25 and an afternoon tour on February 26.
