To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Eastern Ontario Workhorse Workshop, the Draft Horse Connection is holding the Ontario Draft Days 2000 Aug. 25 to 27. The event starts on Fri., Aug. 25 at the United Church Hall, Addison at 1 pm. The Saturday and Sunday program will be at Clohbarra Stables Athens. August 26 the programs runs from 8 am to 11 pm and on Sun., Aug.27 from 8 am to 1 pm.
The celebration will feature discussion and hands on training with some of Canadaís best teamsters. Discussion will feature sessions on the care and use of the draft horse, how to buy and train draft horses, handling of draft horses, the use of farming implements and horse logging.
There is lots of opportunities for experienced teamsters, intermediate teamsters and for the beginner. The celebrations promises time to discuss a wide range of horse topics in an organized forums and workshops, good food, good fellowship and lots of horse talk.
Friday Night Supper will be the Eastern Ontario Workshop Reunion. Saturday night will be a BBQ and will honour students, teamsters and coordinators who have made the Eastern Ontario Workhorse Workshop such a success over the years.
