  • Lanark County opens Tourist Information Centre

The Lanark County Tourism Association in partnership with the Town of Carleton, the Carleton Place and District Chamber of Commerce, the Carleton Place BIA, the Harvey’s/serving Swiss Chalet in Carleton Place and the Ontario East Tourism Association has brought a Tourism Information Centre to Lanark County.

The Centre is located on the front portion of the Harveyís/serving Swiss Chalet parking lot. It is in a location that can be easily seen and accessed from Highway 7. It is also a perfect location for tourist heading north and south on Highway 15 and County Road 29.

Two area students are working at the Centre for July and August and will be providing information to tourists who are visiting or passing through the area. The Centre is the first step in attracting tourist to the area and promoting Lanark County and all its treasures.

For more information contact Chrisy Empey, Tourism Coordinator at 1-888-452-6275 or e-mail tourism@perth.igs.net or visit the website at www.perth.igs.net/~county/tourism.
