Greetings from Leeds County. For those budding photographers out there I hope you have sent in your agricultural pictures - only a few days left until the deadline! Winners will be announced at the Delta Fair.
A proposed change in Federal legislation could cause major problems for anyone involved in animal agriculture. Bill C-17 is worded in a way that could be misinterpreted and anyone who used vaccines, castrates, implants or dehorns could be charge with cruelty to animals. We must all call our MP and voice our concerns; Joe Jordan 498-2242 or 1-800-437-4369.
Everyone is invited to our second annual Leeds Federation Family Day and BBQ. It will be held Mon., Aug. 7 with lunch served at noon. This year we are having a pig roast, so come out for a break to visit with friends and neighbours, and meet two of our OFA executive members, Geri Kamen and Allan Gardiner. It will be held at our farm at 1021 Hanna Rd. Hope to see you there!
Also, mark your calendar for Thurs., Oct. 5 - the annual banquet will be at Spring Valley Hall.
