The Editor:

This is a brief note to say thanks for the balanced and comprehensive news story and editorial page opinion column Tom VanDusen prepared for the June, 2000, edition of the AgriNews dealing with groundwater contamination and the Walkerton issue.

After experiencing all the negative media coverage agriculture has been receiving since the water contamination situation started in Walkerton, it is refreshing to see something of a positive nature for the farming industry - positive in the sense that agriculture is not being blamed before an official case has been determined.
